Why we built Internverse

In 2023, two of us spent several weeks helping younger siblings find internships. What we encountered was a fragmented mess: outdated job boards, listings from companies that had stopped responding, no way to know which postings were legitimate.

Our siblings were talented, motivated, and ready to work. The system just wasn't designed to help them.

The more we dug in, the more we realized the problem was structural. Most job platforms are built for full-time hiring. Internships are shorter, more uncertain, and require a different kind of trust, both from students and companies. The existing tools didn't account for that.

So we decided to build something that did.

Internverse started as a very simple premise: only verified listings, smart matching, and a frictionless apply flow. We've kept that focus as we've grown. Every feature we've added has had to pass the same test: does this make things meaningfully better for a student trying to find their first real opportunity?

We're still early. But we're building carefully, listening closely, and committed to getting this right.
